The sound of the child's laughter made the hairs on my neck stand up and I tightened my grip on the weapon while I peered at the tree line on the back of the stone circle. My new shaman senses were howling warnings, but I couldn't name exactly what we’d be facing.
"Keep close," I murmured to the other unseen shamans who followed me to this site, their faces white and resolute in the blood moon's red glare.
