Chapter 6 Anabella's pov

CHAPTER 6

When Anabella left the office, she had thought her plan to have a partner had been ruined, she had muttered so much confidence all for nothing, she would have known Alpha Adonis was too cocky to accept her proposal.

‘I should have offered him more’ she thought to herself as she toyed with a line of thread in her arms, she needed other ways to exert her revenge, the goddess gave her a second chance for a reason.

She pondered on what to do and how to do it when a notification bell beamed on her phone, whilst reluctant to pick up she saw the Alpha’s name on it. Quickly she picked her to read the content of the message.

‘I believe you left in a hurry, let's have dinner at 9 pm, what do you say?’

The message left her in a haze, she wasn't expecting it, she dropped the phone, took a deep breath then looked at it again, was he serious?

She thought carefully about a reply before she texted back.

‘Sure’

She didn't want to seem desperate, Alpha Adonis was a man of honor, if he wanted to see her then it must be urgent and also a well-thought reason.

“Anabella!” Blanche yelled from outside.

Anabella didn't respond, she paired her eyes at the mirror before her, her hair was done right, her lips looked good, and everything aligned but she hadn't muttered the confidence to walk outside the door, not because Blanche was eagerly waiting for her outside but because Alpha Adonis was parked outside their house, not because of Blanche but because of Anabella.

Her blood boiled like a furnace.

“Annabella, are you deaf or something, come out, I need an explanation!”

Anabella patted her cheek, totally ignoring her sister, as she searched for her purse, the moment she saw it, she was ready to leave, she opened the door and then began to walk towards the exit.

“Where do you think you are going to huh!” she grabbed her firmly by the hands.

“Don't act dumb! What are you doing with Adonis? “

“Let me go, Blanche, I don't need your scent all over me,” she replied nonchalantly as she tried to remove her sister's hands.

Blanche was resilient, Adonis had just rejected her, and she feared he was going for her older sister, if her suspicion was correct she had told herself she would end her own life.

“I am not letting you go till you tell me what's wrong” she spoke with utter urgency.

“Well, I believe you are smart enough to know Alpha Adonis is outside if you act stupid, he will get a front roll in seeing you fool around, and you don't want that don't you?”

Anabella spoke with ease as she stared directly at her sister. All along Blanche had faked her life and character towards Adonis just to make him like her, but all that had gone down the drain.

“Good,” Anabella said with a slight tap on her sister's shoulder as she walked out of the house.

The sight of Adonis in his black suit, well-combed hair, and overly fiery demeanor had Anabella in a chokehold, he was such a good-looking man she could stare at him all day.

“Good evening, Anabella,” he said with a mused smile.

“Good evening Alpha” She entered the car then Adonis jammed it after her.

Being close range with the Alpha made her body heat up in a very canal way, she could not tear her eyes off him, but she was here on a mission, and any desire far from revenge could not be exploited.

“Do you mind If I ask why you want to have a date all of a sudden?” she asked.

Her question made Adonis smirk, one thing he loved about her was her confidence, she was always straightforward.

“Well, Anabella, if you must know, I have put your proposal into consideration, you might be useful as a Luna after all,” he said.

“Uhm nice” she whispered then sagged back on her seat, Adonis waited for her to say something more, but she didn't.

There was just something about her that made him want to know more, no woman had ever peaked his attention as much as Annabella had done.

“So why have you chosen me?” he asked.

Anabella stared directly at him, a slight smirk stretched on her lips, “we compliment each other, don't you agree?”

Her response made him smile again, ‘Annabella, we like her’ his wolf whispered within him, it was hard to admit, but he liked her too, even though he was just getting to know her.

The rest of the night was spent in the restaurant where they talked about their motives, Annabella had explained her need to change, and how much she was willing to work in his park as Luna, it was a contract to them, but their eyes had given them away.

It was much more, but they had to maintain the rules of their agreement. At the end of the date, Alpha Adonis had promised to abide by his words to announce her as his Luna in the park in two days.

It was going to rain fire and brimstone, Anabella was sure about this, so she had to find somewhere to stay while it all happened. She couldn't let them achieve their goals. She needed to leave them before she murmured cold-blooded and Adonis had decided to help her.

This time she's not alone. Although she knew that Adonis didn't know the full reason for her getting married to him, she planned to explain better to him and let him know that she needed help.

Anabella came back home past eleven, Blanche was waiting for her at the door, her hands folded on her chest as she stood at the door.

“What do you think you are doing Anabella!” she yelled, but Annabella ignored her as she went into her room to prepare her bag.
