"What right?Where has he been all this time?What are you not telling me Angie.Is he threatening you."

Yes he is but you can't do anything she thought."No he isn't,he only wanted to see Lucio.What brings you by."She asked.

"I came to check how you were doing and Jared told me the good news I'm so glad that you have listened to me."Her thoughts drifted back to the contract..."in the event that you decide to marry all contact will be terminated".He touched her wrist and she winced in pain."Are you okay?"He examined her hand."What happened here.Did that jerk do this to you?"

"No,no I accidentally hurt myself with the shower cord this morning."She lied and turned away."I can't marry Jared,because I'm already engage to Javier."

"What!"She could hear the disbelief in her brother's voice,but if she wanted to keep her son than she has to marry Javier,his reputation precedes him and if she goes up against him she'll lose her son.

She cannot take that risk,putting on one of her best smiles she faced him."I thought you would be happy for me since you've always nagged me to get married."

"Yes to a man like Jared.He'll treat you the way you deserve to be treated.You marrying this man will only bring you pain and sorrow again.Please Angie don't do this,think about your son."

"I am that's why I'm doing this.You should've seen him and Javier together today their bond is strong for a father and son who had just met what right do I have to break it I've already kept them apart for eighteen months."

"Sis....what about you?You deserve to be happy too."

"I will be once I marry Javier,and I don't need your permission I was only letting you know I'm a grown woman capable of making my own decisions."She stated firmly.

"You're right Angie,you are a grown woman I'm sorry for having your best interest at heart.That man will use you and throw you away like yesterday's trash and don't expect me to be there to help you pick up the pieces again."He kissed her forehead and without another word left.Great now her only family is mad at her.She had never told Chris the real reason why she had left Madrid she had been too ashamed to talk about it,even if she was innocent.She picked up Lucio's toys and put them in the basket.

"Is mommy doing the right thing."She kissed his cheeks."Time for dinner and then a bath."She can only hope that she's doing the right thing and that she won't regret her decision later on when it will be too late.The last time she had listened to her heart it had cost her,hopefully now all will end well.

Javier was sitting inside his office,Angelica's three days was up and she hasn't even contact him,since the last time they had spoke he has not seen her or his son Lucio.He cannot believe that she has given him,his father's name that part still shocks him.In their early days of dating he had told her about his dad and now he wonders why,but has never introduced them.At that point he still hadn't been too sure of her.He checked his watch and it was eleven only one hour to go before the deal expires.If there was one woman who had gotten under his skin it had been her,he had fallen for her innocent face and sweet smile believing that she was not like all the other women he had known and seen.

She had crawled under his skin making him lose focus,letting him drop his guard.He can still remember how that soft feminine body of hers felt underneath his,still remember how she smelled and tasted,how responsive she had been,she had made his blood rush with adrenaline and since then he had never experience that kind of desire and chemistry with any other woman.Even now just thinking about her and how nice she had felt in his arms only three days ago made him hard as a rock,he shifted uncomfortably in his chair,last night he had taken a cold shower before going to bed.Damn that woman after everything she has done he still wants her.But the picture of her and Pablo together was burned into his mind,this time around he will not fall weak and listen to her lies.Come what may he will resist her and her luscious petite body.

Five minutes before twelve she made the call and anxiously waited for the call to go through on the fourth ring he anwered and his deep strong voice resonated through her entire body.

"I take it you've made a decision."

What choice did she have,she wasn't prepare to give up Lucio and she knows Javier won't back down without a fight.There is no way she'll let Lucio suffer and be stuck between this battle of theirs,it would be unfair especially since he hasn't asked to be born."Angelica..?"He drawled.

"Yes I've made a decision."She said and dragged a hand through her hair,Jared had been so hurt and disappointed when she had told him that she was marrying Javier.She was hurting the people closest to her and she won't even be surprise if they never wanted to see her again,in just one day Javier had turned her life upside down.

"I've given you three days and yet you are still thinking.For your own sake I hope you've made the right decision."He said interrupting her thoughts.

"I have a few questions.Is it possible for us to meet and discuss it."

"Nothing in that contract is negotiable."He prompted."Ask whatever you wanna know."

"Javier please I'm prepared to sign,all I'm asking for is fifteen minutes of your time."The line went quiet and for a second she thought he has ended the call but he spoke.

"I'll text you the address of the restaurant.Meet me there,but I'm only available tonight."

"Can't....can't you come over to my place."

"As tempting as that sounds,we've already crossed that bridge and I for one am not planning on crossing it ever again."

"That's not what I meant,I don't have anyone who can look after Lucio his regular babysitter is sick."She told him.

"Fine then I'll send Mateo to come and pick the both of you up,we'll talk at my penthouse.Problem solved."Before she could say anything else he dropped the call.Angelica stared open-mouthed at the phone and said aloud.

"How rude and totally disrespectful."She picked Lucio up."You going to see daddy today,do you like that."He laughed and she knew he was happy."Let's get you ready then."
