"Hey! Where on earth have you been this whole day?" Mom tapped the couch, asking me to sit beside her.

I know she just missed me, and I understand that.

She's so sentimental that she always chose to stay with me rather than to be with dad on his business trip.

"I've been to the office. Where else, mom?" I asked, like I hadn't done anything.

"I've been there this morning and your secretary told me that you're not there." She looked at me with accusations.

"Mommy, I just dropped by somewhere, but I went to the office after that. Come on mom, I know what you're thinking....
