Nala POV

I know Ryland would be scared when I told him I had a car accident, but it wasn't my fault that jerk almost drove me off the road.

When Ryland makes it to us he takes me in a big bear hug, crushing my bones. If the accident didn't kill me then this hug will. I know he's scared he lost his first mate cause of a drunk driver so I just let him check on me and hug me to make sure I'm here.

By the time he's done hugging me, my car is being towed toward the mechanic shop, one of my doors...
