Joshua raised his hand as if to hit her, but froze. He was frustrated. "Are you dumb? Didn't you hear what I said?" she said to him, looking genuinely confused.

"Let go of me, wench!" Joshua spat. The tall, pretty woman shrugged her shoulders and pushed him lightly. To my surprise, he hit the wall with a thud. It was astounding how little force she had used yet how much impact it had.
