I walked into the conference room watching as everyone stood up the moment I walked in. Emma followed behind me holding a bunch of documents in her arms as I headed to the screen on the wall.

A new case. Probably one of the million cases from my past life.

" Is this the new case?" I asked turning to Emma.

" Its pro bono. Other firms refused to touch it because of the bad publicity it's already bringing."

I arched a brow. “And you think I will?"

Emma didn’t answer. She just opened the file and placed it on the table in front of me.
