For a moment, they just stared at me.

Wendy's lips parted slightly like she wanted to speak, but no words came out. Daphne's grip tightened, her shoulders stiff, her eyes fixed on me like she was trying to measure something she couldn't understand.

"You've lost your mind," Wendy said.
