My eyes widened so hard I was convinced they were about to fall out of my face and roll somewhere on the cave floor because what I was staring at right now were three massive large forms of— I did not even know what to call them. 

Wolves? Monsters? Mythical government experiments? Whatever they were, they were huge, and I mean huge like “why-is-this-even-allowed-to-exist” huge.

They were taller than anything I had ever seen in my life and their bodies were built like pure violence.
