Samantha cringed at the thought, unwilling to accept the fact the man had saved her life.
"You were wonderful," Anna whispered, adoration shining in her brown eyes.
Donovan shrugged. "I'm glad I was here to help."
No doubt the rogue believed she owed him something now, Samantha thought. She could only imagine what he might
expect as a reward. Still, he didn't look like a man determined to collect a reward. The man appeared uncomfortable with the praise. Nearly as uncomfortable as he
had looked perched on that limb.
"Samantha, I think you should wear this." Once again, Donovan slipped his suit over her shoulders.
