Morning light brushes my lids, inciting me to groan and murmur unintelligible words in protest as it tries to disrupt my plan to sleep longer. The sun doesn't seem to understand the words I uttered in protest as it seems to keep doing its job.
In an attempt to escape, I threw my arm over my face, a thankful sigh leaving my lips as it did a perfect job of blocking my vision. My arm happens to be uncomfortable despite doing its job causing me to adjust my position a tad to relieve the discomfort.
I feel something warm rub my back and shoulders but don't think more about it...
