The rink was losing its mind.

Chants crashed into each other. Skates screamed against the ice. Sticks clashed. Bodies slammed like wrecking balls with skates. The air was sharp—sweat, ice, adrenaline, chaos. This was overtime. No breathing room. No thinking allowed.

Just survive. Then win.

Todays win had to be the best thing that would happen to me in a really long time. I had even trained extra hours for this day. Because dad has made a promise to me.

He told me if our team won the game, then I get to have the sport car that I had been saving up for, for free.
