The moment we stepped into my room, Jason brushed past me and walked in before me. His hands stayed tucked into the pockets of his trousers as his eyes wandered lazily across my walls, my dresser, and my bed.

I hated that smug, arrogant familiarity that lingered in his face, like he still had every right to be here. Like no matter what happened between us, he would always have the right to walk into my space whenever he pleased.
