It hurts. Even as he watched me walk away, he didn't call me back. It hurt to think that Charles was pushing me away. He must have had a reason to do so but it didn't change the fact that it was hurtful to think that Charles was putting ,for lack of a better word, creating distance between us. And for what reason?
