As soon as the front door of the flat slammed shut behind him, he fell to the floor, leaning his back against the cold stone wall behind him and sliding down slowly until he was sat, his knees pulling his body up to his chest. He buried his head in between his arms and cried uncontrollably. He felt as though his life had become utterly meaningless; he was left trapped inside of an empty box. Nothing mattered anymore. Nothing would ever matter again.
