EVELYN'S POV:

“Mr. Wyatt is better now, and according to the test report, he can be discharged. However, he will need close monitoring,” the doctor said.

I sighed in relief and thanked him.

Since Dad would need further care, I asked the caregiver to extend her service.

“It’s no problem, ma’am,” she assured me.

We collected all the necessary documents and medication before leaving the hospital. I helped my dad up, and we walked slowly to the car parked in the garage.

As we drove, I called Mia to update her.

“I’ll miss them a lot,” she said, referring to the kids. I could hear the sadness in her voice....
