LEONARD’S POV:
Just as I had concluded, the door sprang open, and the doctor walked in, holding a file that we were sure contained the test results.
An impulse drove me out of my seat as I rushed to the doctor. “What is it, doctor?” I demanded.
The doctor recognized me and tried to offer some respectful greetings, but I grabbed him by the arm, cutting him off. “What’s wrong with her?” I asked again, more insistently
“Mr. Henderson Leonard, you need to remain calm. She will be fine; it just needs some time before she fully recovers,” he said in a reassuring tone.
I felt a bit relieved but...
