My phone rang, breaking the silence. I frowned, my brows furrowing as I saw Jayden's name on the screen. "Why are you calling me, Jayden?" I asked.

His response made my heart skip a beat. "If you're really outside, I'm going to kiss you, I don't care."

"You're crazy," I scoffed, rolling my eyes. "Just open the darn door."

I heard the door creak open through the phone. Then Jayden's voice came through again, "Alli, where are you? I'm right here, but I don't see you."

I burst out laughing, amused by his gullibility. "Got you! Do you actually believe I would go to your place?"
