Blakely wasn’t on the shore when I got there. But her sleepers were left there. I wasn’t sure where she was. If she went swimming, then it was foolish. It was winter here and the water was definitely cold.
I tried to look for any signs that she was in the water, but there were no signs she had been going for a swim.
“Blakely!” I called her name loudly.
No answer. No signs that she was here.
‘Where the fck are you, Blakely?!’
“Master Wright, she’s back in the house.” I heard Leslie following me.
“What?”
“She’d been suffering from a bad headache—”
