“What are you doing, Thorne?”
Mom entered my room, almost freaking out. I nonchalantly glanced over my shoulder.
“Dressing myself, I guess?” I smiled drily at my mother.
“Ugh! Stop being logical. You know what I am talking about.”
I shrugged and turned to face her. She had this worried…no, troubled beautiful face.
“You’re not the Thorne I heard at the dining table. You’re better than that,”
I stopped fixing my tie and held Mom in her shoulders. I respected and loved my Mom and Maddie more than anyone else. If only I could bring them with me back in Europe. But I knew they would not leave Dad....
