The atmosphere inside Regina's room changed from the moment Dame Rossa stepped inside; it was almost suffocating. And for seconds that slipped into minutes, Regina tried all she could to hold herself together. The ancient of days clock ticked away loudly in the background; for Regina, it was a painful reminder that time was slipping through her fingers and she needed to tell Pablo her truth.
Dame Rossa sat beside Regina, her eyes darted around the room, softened with concern.
