It was really strange, the last time she was in Monterrey was some years back, about 3 yrs ago, before traveling back to Canada.

At some point she had even considered a permanent relocation to Canada but tried to prevent herself as she had a promise to keep.

So yes, returning to Monterrey after the painful memory this place had caused her was like she embraced a bad idea.
