“Dad” I called.

“You never told me you were coming!” I said.

He kept staring at me without uttering a word.

“Are you gonna stare at me all day day?” I asked.

“Why are you here?” I inquired. I had barely resumed and he's coming to supervise?

“I had some news to share”

“What?”

“ your wedding is the following week”

“What!” my jaw dropped as I struggled to process what he just said.

“You can't be serious dad” I muttered.

“Im serious!” he said.

“You can't be”

“Im not getting married” I stated emphatically.

“I’ve already given my word to my best friend Liam. You're marrying his daughter “ he said and my eyes widened.

“You cannot make such a significant decision in my life on your own. “ I said.

“Oh! I'm your father and I have complete control over you!” he said.

“No, you cannot make such a major decision in my life without first consulting me!” I said.

“And beside, I can't marry deleany. She's a spoilt and rude brat dad!” I spat.

“Show some respect. I'm your father Lionel” he yelled.

“Dad, I'm only 28th years old. Just because I'm still with you doesn't mean I will let you ruin my life. I'm not yet ready for marriage and not deleany!” I spat.

“I'm sick of covering your deeds!”

My brows knitted in puzzlement

“I heard you brought another girl to the private lounge to fuck!. I’m tired of all this nuisance. I won’t let you tarnish the reputation I’ve worked so hard to build over this years Aldrich.

I sigh.

My dad is a one-woman man, an idol. Ever since my mom died,he had never marry another woman and brought home a lady to fuck.

He had been faithful to woman even after her death.

“Ha!” I throw my head side way.

“You have to get married Aldrich else I will give the remainder of the company to trust!”he said and my eyes widened.

“You can’t do that to me dad!” I said.

“I will. The choice is yours to make!”He said.

My father wasn’t joking. He mean every word he just said.

“Fine! Give me some time. I will look for a bride….. Obviously not Deleany!” I said.

“How long?”

“A month I guessed” I said.

“I can’t wait. Two weeks I give to you. Two weeks or the company will be given to trust!” He said and I shut my eyes tightly.

With his words, he rendered me speechless. I Can’t believe my father is threatening me right now.

He exited the office leaving me in my thought.

What should I do now?

How can I find a wife in two weeks?

ADRIANA POV

I yawned loudly, I was hungry. I haven’t had anything to eat. I checked the time on my wristwatch and she breathed in relief.

Finally, i could have some rest. There were a lot of files on the table, I will have to checked them out before the conference meeting tomorrow

"I’ve never worked this much when the previous boss was still on seat. I don’t know why he’s making me do all this job!” I groaned.

I stood up and started packing the files, after i was done, I went to Mr. Aldrich Lionel Office.

I met him just preparing to leave the office.

"Sir, here are the files you asked me to review," i said.

He stared at me for a while. I gulped down and he finally collected the papers from me.

I watched him flipped through it before staring at me again.

“What’s this!” He throw the file at me.

“Do I have incompetent workers here?” He hoarse voice sounded authoritative, sending shivers done my spin.

‘Sir?”I bit on my lower lip.

"Does these files looked like what was corrected?. How can there still be errors when you just corrected the…huh”

His gaze never left mine causing me to gulped down the lump forming in my throat.

This man in front of me was a no-none sense man compare to the one I had an erotic night with. The atmosphere around us suddenly became hot.

“I’m sorry sir. I will just cross checked and correct the error!” I said.

"If this repeat itself again, consider your job gone!” He threatened and I bite on my lip.

He walked out without giving me another glance.

“Fuck you! Mr Aldrich Lionel!”I cursed.

I’ve been working on this filr since morning, I didn't even take my lunch because of it. Now, I have to start all over again?

I turned and walked to the door. I went bad to my seat and met Natasha preparing to go home.

"Aren’t you leaving yet?” She asked and I shook my head.

"I still have some files to work on” i said tiredly and she nodded.

“See you around tomorrow!” She waved at me and i nodded.

Mara wouldn’t stop laughing and teasing me. I just told her everything that happened at the office today.

I rolled my eyes and said,

“Stop it. It’s not funny”

“But you actually had a night with him and pay him as well. Tell me, was he sweet?.....how many rounds did you go?. Did you enjoy him……!”

“Gosh! Stop it!. He’s no close to sweet. He’s such an annoying jerk”

I scoffed.

“That’s a lie. You are just annoyed cuz he’s rude to you but on a normal note, who dare pays their boss”

Mara said and I rolled my eyes. She won’t be the end of me.

“You got some gut there girl…..!”

“Fuck you!” I threw a pillow at her but she was good dodging.

My stomach made an horrible noise indicating I’m hungry.

I totally forgot that I haven’t eaten. My new boss made me work extra time.

“I’m so hungry. What did you cook?” I asked Mara.

“Nothing. I’m too weak to cook. Let’s go order for some food! ‘Mara said and I shook my head. Such a lazy thing.

A moment ago, we arrived at the mall.

“Where are we going to eat?" I asked while Mara was typing on her cellphone, maybe talking to her boyfriend.

Yeah! Maya got a boyfriend .

"Restaurant?" i asked.

"I would go for fast food, I want some Chowking, though, craving for it," suggestion from Mara .

"Same thought. I also want it, well, I'm already hungry so I will go for anything," I said .

"Chowking then. Let's go!" she shouted then we're off to go there .

We walked towards Chowking and entered, we looked for a place to sit and i was the one to order. We found one already, The waiter came and place our order on the bed. The soundof my stomach became unbearable at the mere sght of food.

"Let's eat!" i shouted .

"Pray first, hey!" I shouted at Mara. I really do honor prayer before meal

"Lol, I'm Agnostic, have you forgotten!”she complained. I shook my head. How could I forget?

“Oh!” I muttered and prayed. Mara just waited for me to finish.

Once I was done praying, i immediately eat the food because I was really hungry.

After we finished eating, we went shopping and now here we are at the National Bookstore. I'm not that fond of reading I prefer watching movies more than reading books but Mara is the oppopposite.

We search at the book section looking for something intriguing to read.

We finally chose a book and read the description of it on how the entire story would be. We went to the cashier and paid for the purchases after selecting them.

After all of those, we went to the singing room and entered the available room, and jammed. We sang something and then we left and watched a movie, I bought our tickets.

We also went to the grocery store and bought some items.

We then ended up on where we went to play Scrabble.

We sure gonna have lots of fun today.

We play Scrabble, there are only a few letters of two of us participating,

“I willbe the only scorer. I've got letter E “ I muttered happily

"Letter N is what I have got," Mara sings along the way about how she said those .

"Letter O's mine," said by me .

"Letter A," Mara spoke.

"Letter V is mine, I'm already the last one," I said. . It's the last one, but the letter V is good, worth 4 points, though .

"That's okay, puff!" i tapped her back and she laughed.

“I should go first!” I said. It was drawn again to complete 7 letters.

“Get ready you all, even the youngest will not be defeated. As long as my only tactic is a consistent 2-digit score. We search and something comes up that means, and indeed there's one. How lucky .

"Tsk! You little cheater Anna, you always had Google,"

She complained.

"It's your turn, Mara. I score 22, bunny head. And let me pick for letters ." I looked at the board and smirked because Chloev didn't block my plan to place it .

"It's over, dick!” I said as I put my word on the board. I'm running out of letters .

Okay! I'm done. I can't be a loser!

"Let's go home. I'm feeling sleepy already. I got lots of work to do at the office tomorrow. Mara nodded and we left.
