Noah stepped behind me again. He unclasped the necklace and draped it around my neck.
The heavy, freezing cold diamonds rested perfectly against my collarbone. He locked the clasp at the back of my neck.
I looked in the mirror. With the deep green silk and the heavy diamonds, I looked like a queen. But feeling the cold weight of the jewels around my throat, I knew exactly what it really was.
It was a beautiful, incredibly expensive collar.
"Perfect," Noah said. He stepped back and pulled the heavy velvet curtain open.
