Lillian Pov
It has been three days since I left the demon kingdom. I didn’t follow them back because of Alma. At least she can’t attack me here. Octavia and Silver will spot her out in a second. I know I shouldn’t be hiding in their shadows, but I have no choice but to hide. I know they will protect me and I can rely on them, but I am just scared of what will happen to Zira. That is why I haven’t been vocal. I’d rather suffer in silence than let my pup be affected. My injuries have been healing slowly, but they don’t open up again.
I walked through the kingdom ground, heading to the training ground. I don’t really train, but I like to watch them, especially Octavia. She is hilarious during training and it’s sometimes fun to see her savaging people. No, I lied. It’s always fun, but when I got there, she wasn’t there. It was Axel; the beta anchoring the training.
“Where is Octavia?” I asked. He turned to me.
“There you are. She told me to tell you to come to the conference room,” he said.
“Why didn’t she mind link me?” I asked, confused.
“Your mind link is blocked,” he said, and I remembered I don’t have my wolf.
“Okay, thank you,” I said, walking to the conference room. I wonder why she wants me to come there. After walking for a few minutes, I got there, and it actually surprised me to see Asher here. They all turned to me.
“What happened?” I asked, noticing their gloomy faces.
“We are going back to the demon kingdom,” Asher said. Huh? Asher never tells me to come. I go there on my will.
“Why?” I asked.
“It’s Zira,” he said. Zira?
“What happened to Zira?” I asked, my heart beating fast.
“Let’s go so you can see it yourself,” he said. See it myself? Why can’t he just tell me now? I sighed.
“Okay, let’s go,” I said. We both left the conference room, heading to the portal. We walked in silence and I thought about what could be wrong with her? She was fine just three days ago. I just hope no matter what is wrong with her, she will be fine.

We got to the kingdom, and we headed to Zira’s room immediately. When we got there, so many people were in the room and I couldn’t even see Zira.
“Excuse us,” Asher said and turned to us. They bowed one by one and left. When they left, I walked to the bed, and I gasped in shock. Zira is on the bed, her skin pale like there is no blood in her system. What shocked me was the big black veins that were showing all over her body. She looked like a monster.
“What happened to her?” I cried, running to her bed. I put her head on my lap softly and touch her skin. She is so cold.
“Who did this to her?” I cried, looking at him. He breathed out, looking at me guiltily.
“She was poisoned,” he said. Poisoned? How can she be poisoned?
“What are the antidotes and remedies?” I asked. I don’t care about who poisoned her for now. Her safety comes first. He took time to answer, and I just looked at him, waiting for his response.
“There are no antidotes,” he whispered, gulping down his spit.
“What do you mean there are no antidotes? Who did this to her? Who poisoned her?” I asked, tears coming down my face. Not my pup, anybody but my pup.
“The doctors found traces of infinity leaf in her system. Whoever consumes it will die within a certain period,” he said. I look at him, tears falling down my eyes. I shake my head repeatedly, refusing to believe what he just said.
“T.tell me you are lying,” I whispered weakly, looking at him. Who would have poisoned her? She is the princess, right? So she is meant to be protected at all cost so who did this?
“Lillian ple…” I cut him off harshly.
“Don’t tell me to calm down! My daughter was doing well before you came! She was hale and healthy, a happy little pup, but ever since she came here each day her carefree lifestyle changed and now you are telling me she is poisoned? And she might die soon?” I cried, refusing to believe it. She can’t die, my daughter can’t die.
“We are looking for a solution,” he said.
“She can’t stay here. We are living,” I said, standing up and running to her closet.
“Lillian,” he called, following me.
“You know what, she doesn’t need any clothes,” I said, going back to her, but he dragged me back.
“Please, calm down,” he said.
“Calm down? Everything has been going wrong ever since you came back and it’s starting with that stupid bitch Alma!” I yelled, removing my arm from him. Someone cleared her throat, and I turned and it was Alma and immediately I knew she had a hand in this. Of course, only she would have done this. I wasn’t thinking straight when I ran to her with the aim of messing her face up.
“You stupid bitch!” I yelled, dragging her hair harshly in my hand.
“Lillian!” Asher yelled, dragging me away from her, but I held on tight.
“What have you done with my pup!” I yelled, punching her face. My vision went blank as my temper increased and I could feel my wolf surfacing. My fingers turned into claws and my canine dropped. I growled, running my claws down her chest. My claws pierced into her skin, tearing into her clothes. She screamed bloody murder as I went crazy on her. I punched her face harshly, ripping her hair off.
“It’s enough!” Asher yelled, pulling me back with all his strength, but I made sure to take a handful of her hair with me.
“What the hell is wrong with you?” he yelled, looking at me.
“It’s this bitch! She has been abusing me for 4 fucking years because she has a crazy obsession for you! Now she has poisoned my pup!” I yelled, deciding it doesn’t matter anymore. She already did her worst, and that is touching my child. She fold up on the floor, crying heavily, pieces of her clothes and hair on the floor and I can’t believe what a superb actress she is.
“Lillian, what do you mean? Alma can’t do all that,” he said.
“Of course she can. She is a pretentious bitch. Look at my skin,” I said, ripping my clothes off, and I turned around. Asher said nothing.
“Lillian, are you okay? There is nothing on your skin,” he said. My mouth hung open, and I ran to the mirror and he was right. My skin is as fresh as a newborn. I looked at Alma and she was smirking at me. I cried, tears falling down my eyes repeatedly.
“Asher believe me. She is crazy. She has a big obsession with you. She beats me every night I am here and also forces me to take wolfbane and silver. It’s because of her I stayed away from you and now she has poisoned Zira,” I cried, looking at him. But he shook his head in disappointment.
“Alma is everything but that. How can you accuse her of such a thing? She helped me with this kingdom and it’s because of her I am alive,” he said, looking at me. I cried, going to Zira. I hugged her to my chest, rocking the both of us. He is not going to believe me anyways, and I know she did something to my skin.
“Lillian,” he called, but I ignored him. Then the stupid bitch cried out in pain and I looked at her. Asher was going to help her and the look she gave him like he was her savior. She can’t live without him and it is so sick, and I thought, no way will I allow her to take my pup and mate too. I ran to Asher as he was about to help her and wrapped my arms around him, distracting him from the bitch. Immediately, I came to him. He wrapped his arms around me, carrying me to the bed. We both stay on the bed, hugging Zira to ourself.
“It’s okay, we will find a solution,” he said, brushing my hair, Alma all forgotten. I cleaned my tears, looking at Zira’s face. Now I have to protect her while figuring out what to do with Alma. She seems powerful enough to clear my scars within seconds.
Asher won’t believe me without solid proof, so I have to keep him out of this because it’s about to be a war. I looked at her and she was looking at me in hate while looking at Asher longingly and I wondered if she can’t see Asher don’t give a shit about her. The woman he loves is me, so why is she forcing herself on him? It doesn’t matter though, I just have to look for a way to expose her but that means I have to stay in the demon kingdom for sometime, hopefully everything goes well.
