Fellow Rejects
Going back to Alastor's room was the quietest walk I've ever done. Alastor has always been the opposite of me. He talks less than I do usually. And I've always been fine with that. Comfortable, even.
But this silence between us has never been so suffocating. As if there's words stuck in my throat that begs to be released. But at the same time, can't. Because I can't do it. I can't say the words. I can't reject him.
Just thinking about it makes my knees buckle.
