Maria was in tears after hearing the girl’s story,she pulled her into her arms stroking her brown hair, murmuring soothing words to her.

Aryann heaved a deep breath and sniffled then she realized she had soaked Maria’s shirt with her tears.She quickly moved away.

“I’m sorry.”she muttered,her sobs finally subsiding.

“Mom said he threatened to kill us all.”

“I can’t promise you anything right now but I’d try and talk to him, don’t get your hopes up that he’ll listen to me,he doesn’t listen to anyone.l’ll just try to see if he might listen to me.”Maria said, calmly.

“Thank you.”Aryann replied, gratefully.

Maria hugged her again, she wished Luca would listen to her, Aryann didn’t deserve this.
