I arrived at Papa’s house and strolled inside.

“Did anyone ever teach you to knock?” Papa asked.

“Have you met my parents?”

“Don’t remind me. I raised one and wanted to throw the other one into the river.” He rolled his eyes.

“That is my point.” I took a seat next to him and looked at the tv. “Are you binge-watching The Originals?”

“Hey, I’m curious whether Klaus will live or die. Did you know Hailey ran off with him, leaving poor Elijah with a broken heart?”
