Nathan ruffled his hair in frustration. His eyes were bloodshot, his chin covered in a thin beard because he hadn't had time to shave. Tomorrow was supposed to be his wedding day with Elena—the big reception he'd been preparing for months. But now, he didn't even know if Elena was alive.
