Elena paused for a moment upon hearing Katty and Olivia's words. She hadn't expected her children to have thought things through that far.

Elena was pregnant!

Elena herself was still struggling to accept the reality, let alone explain it to her daughter.

"Mom?" Olivia tugged on her sleeve, breaking Elena out of her reverie.

“Sweetie… Mom isn’t thinking about finding a new father right now.” Elena chose her words carefully.

Katty frowned. “Why? Mom deserves someone better than Dad.”

Elena smiled slightly, her heart warmed by how much her children cared about her. However, Elena had something more important to say.

"Because... Mom is pregnant."
