The morning in Canada was still cold, but inside the hotel room, it was perfectly warm. Nathan and Elena sat leaning back on the bed, covered in a thick duvet. They had just finished a light breakfast while watching the local news on TV.

Suddenly, Elena's cell phone vibrated on the nightstand.

“A video call from Olivia,” Elena said quickly, her eyes lighting up.

Without waiting any longer, she pressed the green button.

“Mommy!!” Olivia’s voice rang out clearly, followed by a hearty laugh from the phone screen.

Elena immediately smiled widely. “Olivia, sweetheart! Oh my gosh... Mommy misses you so much!”
