The entire pack was assembled in front of the royal castle. They approached aggressively and the guards were struggling to hold them off.

“He's a beast!”

“Bring him out here to us!”

“The Shadow King has no place with us!”

They yelled different ill things directed at me. My head dropped.

“No!” She turned to me, lifting my head by the chin. “No! You won't do that.” Aria said, “you've done nothing but protect this pack your entire life and you will continue to do that. You just have to tell the people that and make them believe you are committed to nothing else.”
