Actually, I'd always believed I'd go to heaven. I'd never intentionally harmed anyone; I'd tried to help people wherever I could. But this didn't feel like heaven. It was too hot, too heavy, too painful.
A soft moan escaped my lips as I tried to open my eyes. But a bright light immediately blinded me. I squeezed my eyelids shut again. Was that... lava?
