We both froze simultaneously as a voice reached us from the forest. Deep and threatening.

"You won't escape from here."

I turned around in alarm. At the edge of the forest, shrouded in darkness, stood a lone man. In his hands he held a crossbow aimed at us.

"We knew something was wrong even before the call," he said, his voice cold as he took a step closer. "Someone broke into our armory, and we received a signal. But you didn't contact us, nothing happened, it was just a one-time incident. But after the call, we knew what you had done. You freed him."
