Kalev’s POV
We waited on the beach as the helicopters stormed the sky. There were at least a dozen of them. They landed on the beach and the capital guards stepped out.
The guards stood beside the helicopter doors, waiting for us to approach them. But then a figure emerged from one of the helicopters. Her fancy shoe hit the sand. My stomach lurched.
It was my mother, Petra.
She was dressed in a long, ornate gown. She looked ridiculous on the beach, with the fire blazing in the back ground.
We were shocked to see her. She walked towards me with a big smile. She reached for my hands....
