The nights were the worst. At least daytime at the Marrow estate came with distractions. They was training. And the staff. And all the ways I’d made myself useful. There was Viktor and our tea meetings. During the day, there were tasks to occupy my hands.
But the night left too much room for thinking. I didn’t like it, being alone with my thoughts.
