Joaquim, who was hidden, couldn't stand hearing everyone fighting while he waited. The Lord wasn't a coward, the war was his, and he should have been the one leading. Felix saw the human entering the midst of the fight and followed him, he had to protect the man.
While Joaquim fought with the soldiers in front of him, he remembered all the things his brother had done: the threats to his wife, the teasing, and the attack on his castle. He wouldn't let his brother go unpunished.
As for his father, he couldn't understand why he was on Helton's side....
