My valid query paused the yelling session in my room, challenging Alicia’s magical assessment. All inquisitive eyes were fixed on her as she spoke.

“Would you like me to explain, Miss Valerie? Or should I leave it to you?”

Valerie’s chalk-white face was an epitome of horror as she spluttered in response.

“What’s here to explain? It’s obvious that you are slandering the Alpha heir of the Atkins family, Witch.

Needless to say, those mating bands were the proof of our genuine bond.”

Alicia stepped forward, pointing her finger at Valerie. She looked dead into her eyes and warned her.

“Don’t you dare question my magic, Miss Valerie....
