“Sergio, where are we going? The event is not done yet.” He softly gripped my wrist as he dragged me out of the event.
“The auction can run smoothly without us.” I looked at him in disbelief as he replied.
“Still, your presence makes a huge difference.” I muttered under my breath.
We heard the elevator beeped as it opened in front of us, garnering us the stares of the other employees, who seemed to be not a part of the auction and just working late.
“Good evening sir, Good evening ma’am.” Each of them greeted and lowered their heads.
