A call came in not quite long and Rowan picked up the call. He signalled a finger to Elara, picking up his keys. It seemed like he was about to leave the company. Elara shifted towards the edge of the sofa, quite confused but still hopeful.

Rowan frowned slightly. "What do you mean? Scrambled?"

Elara's ears perked. She didn't want to overthink the conversation before her hopes were dashed. She waited patiently to hear what Rowan would say after the call, but he surprised her by putting the phone on speaker.
