Mom: “Hey, Yvonne! How’s the tour going? Are you having an amazing time?”

I chuckled, knowing mom always made time to catch up, no matter the distance.

“Hey Mom, it’s going great! The Caribbean Blue Islands are even more beautiful than I imagined. Alex and I have been having an amazing time exploring the creeks and adoring its beautiful creatures.”

Mom: “That sounds incredible! I’m so happy for you, Yvonne. You deserve it. How’s your man treating you?”

I blushed, knowing that mom is aware of the special bond between Alex and I. “He’s treating me wonderfully, mom. Thanks for giving him to me,” I replied.
