"Do you think you should be going to work already?" I asked quietly, pulling the zipper of her dress all the way up before letting my hand linger at the small of her back as our eyes met in the mirror.

"Why?" she asked softly, amusement dancing in those beautiful eyes of hers. "You don't want me to go?"

I slowly shook my head. "I just want you to take things slow."

"I am. But this board meeting is important."

"Is it?" I asked softly. "I think they'll understand if you postponed it, don't you?" My hand slipped around her waist, drawing her a little closer....
