"I still don't trust you. You know that right?" Helena got out, looking up from the drink in front of her, the suspicion she felt glaring to see.
"I know." Without asking, I reached across the table, took her glass from her hands, and brought it to my lips. Her eyes followed every movement, narrowing slightly as I took a slow sip before placing it back exactly where it'd been. It was a pointless gesture, really, but one that said more than words ever could. If I intended to betray her, poisoning her drink would've been a stupid way to go about it.
