Anna's POV

The car ride back was quiet.

Adrian didn't say a word, and I didn't either.

The driver spoke at times, but all Adrian did was nod.

We finally got to the penthouse and he got me out of the car, then took me all the way up in a bridal carry.

I tried to let him know that I was acting fine but he insisted that he carried me himself.
