Anna's POV

I was shocked by my bone marrow. Did she just invite me there without informing me prior? Is that how things were done here? Shit! I wanted to leave. I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me.

I wanted Adrian. I needed help. Someone saved me.

All eyes were on me as I forced myself to stand up before I did something crazy. The guy that was beside me looked at me with worry, subtly. His hand was on mine again, and it completely disgusted me.

“Are you okay?” he asked, his voice laced with concern. Maybe he was genuinely worried. Was I that obvious?
