How did we end up on the couch? Just how?

It was just about five am when I woke up to see that we actually did. The plates were everywhere too, and the TV was still running. Everyone was tired. My mom was sleeping soundly next to my brother. I didn't know when I smiled. I was leaving by tomorrow evening, so I needed to start packing my things.

Walking past them, I picked up all the plates and took them to the sink to wash.

After I was done, I warmed up the Mac and cheese since I didn't put it in the freezer the night before....
