Dear Annie, 

I was right. 

I was so, so right but it's my own fault

because like an idiot,

I ignored my instincts 

and let myself become fond of him. 

And because I went against my better judgement of staying away and keeping distance 

and not warming up to people, 

like I expected, 

another person got to know me just a little better

and then left. 

Realized I was a freak, a loser, a nerd like everyone thinks I am.

Should I be surprised? No. Not at all. 

Anyways,

it's okay because like usual,

I'll just stick to myself.
