Ariel's POV

At the hospital .....

"What's wrong with my mom " I yelled immediately I got into the hospital.

"Calm down, Miss Ariel " the nurse said.

"How can you tell me to calm down when my Mom is dying" I yelled in her face.

Olivia held my hands and pulled me behind her .

"You should see the doctor first" the nurse said to Olivia and she pulled me along to the doctor's office.

"What the hell is wrong with my mother now" I yelled immediately I got into the doctor's office

"Just calm down" Olivia said almost yelling.

"For the last time don't tell me to calm down"

"The doctor herself told me my mom's okay now, so what was she telling me now?!" I yelled in reply.

"Miss Ariel can you please take it easy and have your seat " the doctor said calmly

"Just explain to me already please" I hurried tears gathering in my eyes already sitting in front of her.

"The operation was successful " She said.

"But recently we just noticed , your mother she's not strong enough to wake up yet"

"It was a medically induced comma yeah, but now we just have to wait for her to wake up herself"

"Discard the initial two days I told you, it's going to take quite longer than that"

"Oh my God" Olivia whispered.

"It can't be helped?!"

"I'm sorry it can't be" the doctor said.

I couldn't even say a word I just sat there staring into thin air as Olivia patted my shoulder slowly.

Xavier's POV

That same night ..

"Dude" I said into the phone Immediately Miguel picked up the call.

"What's good " he asked.

"Where are you at the moment" I asked.

"Home , what's wrong" he replied

"Let's hit the club" I said.

"Because the next time I'll open my eyes I'll be a married man"

"I might as well enjoy my last night as a bachelor"

"Call it bachelor's night" I added and I heard him laugh.

"You'll come to my house right" he asked.

"Sure" I replied as I ended the call, I stood up grabbed my car keys and walked out of the house.

At the club .....

"I'm frustrated by my mom dude" I said over the loud music.

"I can't believe she's pushing through with the plan" I added

"My uncle isn't even helping matters he isn't making me have any choice"

"It's just getting married dude, you're not dying" he said.

I dropped the cup of shot I was holding and pushed it towards the bar tender.

"More" I said and he nodded , refilled my glass and pushed it back to me.

My eyes darted round the whole place and immediately I turned back to face Miggy my side eye caught the entrance of a nice looking lady.

I brought out my wallet from my back pocket.

"Settle our bills " I said to Miggy my eyes still on her.

I picked up the last shot and drank it all at once.

"Where are you going" Miggy asked.

"I'll be right back, and if I'm not I'll call you" I said .

He shook his head sideways and sighed. I didn't wait for him to reply I just left.

"Hey beautiful " I said walking up to the lady , she was seating alone with her legs crossed.

Her dressing , composure and all screamed high class.

"Why would a pretty lady seat alone in a corner "

"To avoid gigolos like you" she retorted.

"Hmm feisty, I likey" I grunted and I saw her roll her eyes.

"Come on don't be a kill joy, why else would you come to a club alone"

"If not to find a guy" I said to her and she rolled her eyes and cleared her throat .

"You wanna have drinks with me" she finally asked.

"Of course, why else would I be here" I replied

" Alright then get us drinks" she said and I smiled.

"Whatever you say" I replied , I called in the waiter.

Thankfully I have a little cash in my pocket.

We ordered for drinks and got talking.

"So why were you been sassy at first "

"You're actually really cool" I added and she laughed.

"It's needed " she replied and I laughed.

A few moments later ....

"You look really handsome" she slurred obviously very drunk, tracing my jaw line slowly.

I was drunk also but I had more control over myself than she did .

"Will you take me to your house" she asked again as she moved closer to me and placed my lips on hers.

I smiled against her lips and deepened it.

"And you're a really good kisser" she added with a drunken laughter.

"Let's just go to your place" she whined rubbing my chest .

I looked down at her , she didn't look like someone I would actually want to take home.

But then again I remembered the Ariel girl will probably come to my house tommorow morning.

I decided to take her home with me.

"Fine"

"Yes baby" she squealed and I carried her in my hands all the way out.

I put her in my car at the back seat and got into the front seat.

Halfway home, my phone began to ring.

I brought it out and Miggy was boldly written on the screen.

"Shit" I cursed , I had totally forgotten I went there with someone.

"Where the hell are you " he yelled immediately I picked up the call.

"I'm sorry I had to leave immediately"

"You can take care of yourself right?!"

"What do you mean you can .... "

"You're not too drunk you can find your way home right?!"

" I'm sorry, I'm driving we'll talk tomorrow dude"

"Don't you dare .... " He tried to say but I already ended the call.

I shrugged , I'll just explain to him when we see.

Uncle Mark POV

"What's the update?!"

"They're very close to signing the Beurna corp project"

"Should we make it impossible"

"There's no need to"

"Once they get the deal , we strike" I said and reclined in my seat smirking!.

We'll see who's the boss.
