I sit in silence for some time wondering why my father has summoned to speak with me alone. I do know that this is the first time in my life he has ever called me by first name.

After what seems like a life time he finally speaks. “I want to speak about Gemma. There are some things I neglected to say in front of her and the others. I did some digging and found out what happened to her bloodline and her parents, why we haven’t heard this line was still in existence.
