Beta Richard walked out of the house, while Veronica still followed behind him. He got into the car and turned to Veronica, who wasn't sure if she needed to get into the car with him, or not.

“Get in.” He said to her, and she did as she was told immediately.

She didn't know where they were headed, so she just sat quietly through the drive. She knew that they weren't going to the hospital to see Scott, because they had already told her that the doctor said he needed to rest properly before anyone could be allowed to see him.
